RealPlayer SP has been very well-received by PC users worldwide. But no matter how happy we've been with the results, we've had one thing nagging at us-the lack of Mac support. We've been all over the country in the last six months talking about RealPlayer SP, and the one universal complaint was that it was PC-only. That all changes today as we're thrilled to announce RealPlayer SP for Mac. Mac users have been able to download videos to their machines for a few years with RealPlayer 11, but with SP, you're now able to take those videos and put them on your favorite phones, iPods, and even your XBox. The Mac version works slightly differently than the PC software, as there are certain requirements/allowances for Mac OSX. For instance, the infamous "download this" button you may be familiar with in the PC version is not in the Mac version. Instead, whenever you watch a video, the download/converter window of RPSP will open and ask if you'd like to save that video to your Mac and convert it to your device. We are in the middle of a four day session at the last stop of the Winter Dew Tour in Mount Snow, Vermont. It has been such an incredible experience so far. We have a little 10' x 10' booth right at the bottom of the slopestyle course in the Carinthia part of the ski area. We can literally see the whole lower half of the slopestyle course from the booth, and the lower 1/3 of the half pipe. The crowds are growing thicker by the day as people stream in to see these amazing athletes work their mojo on massive kickers and courses made out of ice. In the festival village sponsors await the crowds to show them their latest phones, cameras, jerky (yes, I'm serious) and gear. We're in great company as there are a few vendors that fit in with what RealPlayer SP does very nicely. GoPro HD cameras are the peas to our carrots as their cameras produce super high quality video. News has been pretty quiet on the RealPlayer front over the last couple of months. All of that is about to change. We’ve stepped up our game, literally, to extreme proportions. Unless you've been living under a rock for the last week, you've no doubt heard about Apple's latest product: the iPad. All name jokes aside, this device is sure to be a hot seller amongst the tech community and students. There have been thousands of posts about the iPad in the last 2 days, and almost everyone agrees that it's a cool piece of equipment, but they aren't sure where it fits in between the smart phone and the lap top. The answer is: it doesn't. And, it doesn't need to. Apple has such a devout following that pretty much anything they make these days is going to succeed. What does that mean for everyone else in the tech business? It could be a boomtown for people in the app business. While Apple is saying the iPad will run "virtually every one of the over 140,000 apps in the app store," there will also be dedicated apps just for the iPad. That means an entire new revenue stream for app creators everywhere. Mortimer Beckett fans behold! The long-awaited third installment to one of  the most successful franchises to come out of GameHouse is here! Mortimer Beckett and the Lost King became available for download last week and is receiving very good reviews. As you may recall, our star character, Mortimer Beckett had an exciting adventure in his last game, The Time Paradox. Now that he's through with time traveling he can just go home, right? No way! Instead, he wakes up in a world of kings and fairies and creatures that could only come from a far, far away land. He learns that the beloved King of Zantya has been missing for 30 years. The throne was assumed by the wretched General Cedric Syper. Your goal, as Mortimer, is to help find the missing king by piecing together jewels that have been scattered from his powerful crown. The jewels are found throughout various scenes in 8 chapters. In order to move on to the next chapter, you must complete all of the scenes in each chapter, thus collecting pieces of an entire jewel by the end of the chapter. By now everyone has heard about the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday. Tens of thousands of people have been confirmed dead and many many more are still missing. Every penny donated makes a huge difference during this time of need. We just received a company-wide email from Rob Glaser announcing that the RealNetworks Foundation is donating $50,000 to Medical Teams International (MTI) for earthquake relief in Haiti. Here is the email from Rob: Team: As I�m sure you�re aware, Haiti suffered a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday, further devastating the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.  Millions of people are suffering the loss of their homes and loved ones. The need for water, food, and basic supplies is almost unimaginable and will certainly grow in the coming days.
