On June 24th we excitedly launched the beta version of our new RealPlayer – RealPlayer SP. The “SP” stands for “social” and “portable” as this is the first (and best) version of RealPlayer that let’s you easily take web videos with you on your portable device and share them with a friend. Since launch we’ve seen stellar success (over 22 million videos downloaded so far) and are proud to officially place the product in Gold status today and offer it to consumers around the world. For you non-techies, that means we’ve worked out the initial beta bugs and we’re rolling out the polished version of the product.
A quick glance at some of RPSP’s rave reviews lets you know that it’s a product that you will love to use. See for yourself what the Wall Street Journal, Mashable and Crunch Gear had to say about it. What’s even better than good reviews? Our very own VP of video product development at Real, Jeff Chasen officially announcing the worldwide launch of RPSP and its early success. Check it out.

I am told daily by RealNetworks Installer that my RealPlayer is out of date, and offered an upload. However, the only two options I am given is “Update Now” and “Remind me Later”. Where, pray tell, is the “No thanks” option that will see me NOT having this window pop up every single fricken day?
I have tried uninstalling RealPlayer (in the hopes it would no longer be there to know it was out of date”, closing the RealNetworks Installer box using the little cross, even clicking “Remind me later” and selecting 14 days, but no, sure enough, the following day it was back.
Certainly not making a new customer out of me, with this kind of harassment.

The last two nights when I have turned on my computer Real Player sp comes on and says it will down load for me for free so I follow the instructions. Last night it only got to 37% and tonight it got to 50% before it quit. I think something is wrong with your downloader or something. Could you please check it out?
