Games Galore: 2008’s Best Offerings

It’s the end of the year and everyone is coming out with their top 10 lists. Including us. I happen to like top 10 lists. It sums up 12 months of way too much information in one succinct place. With casual gaming being a hot topic these days I wanted to share some info on our most successful games as well as others in the industry. If you haven’t tried these games, all can be tried for free, at which point you’ll become completely addicted. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I recently asked our games people at RealArcade what were our best selling games of 2008. In order:

  1. Sally’s Spa
  2. Cate West: The Vanishing Files
  3. Mystery P.I.- The Vegas Heist
  4. Big City Adventure- Sydney
  5. The Mystery of the Crystal Portal
  6. Little Shop Road Trip (my fave)
  7. Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox
  8. Hidden Relics
  9. Can You See What I See
  10. Dragonstone
Additionally, PocketGamer UK recently published it’s 10 best mobile games for 2008 (which includes our PlayMan Summer Games 3), Yahoo published it’s best of casual games list for the year, and Big Fish released a chart featuring it’s top 100 downloads.
New casual games are popping up like crazy, so there’s certainly not going to be a shortage of entertaining and thoughtful games any time soon. The hard part is figuring out which games you like best. Sounds like a fun challenge!
