RealGames Builds out Social Executive Lineup

As we’re all well aware, the social gaming space is experiencing major growth and unprecedented attention. We’ve had our share of games go social in UNO (TM), Text Twist (r), SCRABBLE (r) and COLLAPSE! (r) on Facebook. In order to stay positioned as a leader in the digital games space RealGames has announced two big moves in the social department. Wilf Russell, who previously served at RealGames as vice president of engineering has been promoted to chief technology officer and Jeffrey Revoy has been hired on as vice president of social games.

Russell, a tech veteran with over 25 years of service in the tech sector, came to Real last year from MySpace where he was the vice president of engineering. His duties at MySpace included overseeing the management of engineering facilities that were instrumental in delivering numerous products and service. In his new role he’ll play a major role in the further development and integration of our games assets.

The hiring of Jeffrey Revoy adds a wealth of social knowledge to the RealGames team. Revoy brings 20+ years of tech experience. Prior to joining RealGames he was the president of the Interactive Services at CenturyLink. He also had a six year stint at Yahoo! where he was the vice president of search, local, and social media. He was the man in charge of Yahoo! Answers, which we’ve all used because of its great community and social features. Real hopes to tap into Revoy’s social savvy to help take our social gaming business to the next level.
