COLLAPSE! On a Platform Near You!

There are a few games out there that have a serious reputation in the casual games world: Bejeweled, Peggle and our beloved COLLAPSE! take the cake. Today we’re taking COLLAPSE! to a new level – actually lots of levels and on lots of platforms. On the PC, Mac and mobile versions, COLLAPSE! has been reinvented with awesome new customizable characters and scary blocky bad guys like Block Widow, Blockzilla and Blocktopus to make your COLLAPSE! experience unique to any other game on the market today. If you’re playing on Facebook, you’ll have to manage your explosions carefully: it’s a time sensitive issue that’s sure to get you hooked.

COLLAPSE! is an entirely new complex version of the original favorite you’ve come to love. Your bombhead character is now fully customizable so you can play as an old western dude, a hippie,  or even the girl next door (with an obvious affinity for exploding colors – we love those crazy girls).  Additionally, you’ll be pitted against your future nemesis in a head-to head battle with blocky level bosses sure to give you nightmares.  But what makes this game truly addictive is that it’s everywhere you are: downloaded to your computer, on your mobile and an extra social Facebook version that gives you the excitement of COLLAPSE! in quick-play form. Not only is the game cross-platform, but by playing you’ll find codes that you can use on other platforms to unlock levels and advance your game play.

COLLAPSE! is pretty cool and addictive, and it’s not just about exploding colors. There are puzzles to complete, strategy levels and arcades to cash in your spin coins. To be totally honest, I’m normally in to other types of games (love me some hidden object games) but this one is crazy fun. Also – having weekly tournaments on Facebook is a great way to remind your friends that you’re much better than them (at least when it comes to gaming). Graphically, this game is awesome. The colors are super vibrant and the characters and shapes within the different lands are very appealing to the eye. Being able to customize your character is pretty fun too. It looks much better than my Mii.  I made this little lady to represent my explosive (Get it? Explosive!?) talents within the game:

So, in case you haven’t had enough COLLAPSE! madness, our games team has gone above and beyond for this one. They’ve created this crazy microsite which gives you the history of the game via the Wikipedia page, lets you become a fan of the game on Facebook,  links you to the custom YouTube channel, and allows you to play the game right within the web browser! Additionally, when you sign in using Facebook Connect you can “collapse” your friend’s faces. You can select up to four friends to collapse at a time. I actually think this could be more fun if you dislike the people you’re collapsing, but I wouldn’t know anything about that… However, now you can collapse your way through a boring meeting like never before. (Imagine using the attendees’ faces. Heh.) Just make sure to turn the sound down and not to chuckle too hard.
