Rhapsody has been busy sealing the deal with big-name artists over the past year. We’ve worked with Kid Rock, Green Day, Rob Thomas, Jay-Z and now, John Mayer. Mayer’s new album Battle Studies has a street release date of November 17th, but you don’t have to wait that long. In the vein of our previous exclusives, we’re thrilled to have the album a full week early.
That means you can listen to it. Right now. Don’t have a subscription? Not a problem. It’s free for anyone to hear since everyone gets 25 free plays on Rhapsody per month. Of course, subscribers get the sweeter deal, since they can listen to their favorite songs over and over and over again until their officemates don’t care if her body is a wonderland. They can listen on their computers, on their MP3 players, and on their iPhones (Yes, Android-lovers, your time is coming! No, I don’t know the date. Sorry.)
As in the past we’ve also made a commercial featuring John Mayer and one of his new songs. What do you think of the ad? What do you think of the album?
Since John Mayer makes the ladies swoon, and the men study up on their romance, our buddies over at the Rhapsody blog have put together a John Mayer survival guide that is all-encompassing. You will learn a little Mayer history, get editorial insight, have access to his full catalogue and even gain insight into the best looking “shredders.” Check it out. They put together special content just for this release.
Rhapsody will keep on working to bring you artist exclusives so you can hear your favorite music before it hits the streets. We’ve got another zinger up our sleeves, but we can’t tell you about it just yet. So check back soon, follow us on Twitter, be a fan on Facebook, check out our exclusive YouTube videos, and of course, listen to the music. We’re always working to give you a little something extra that you can’t find anywhere else. In the meantime, enjoy Battle Studies, and do let us know what you think of the album.
