RealPlayer at #CRUSHITCHICAGO

RealPlayer has been a globe trotting entity lately. It’s been a whirlwind and it’s been fun. But, most important of all, it’s gotten a great reception. Perhaps the best crowd we’ve engaged with so far was at last night’s #CRUSHITCHICAGO. Nearly 200 people packed the LaSalle Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel on Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The crowd was a solid mix of social media experts, wine aficionados, tech gurus, and folks generally interested in improving how they do business. That was the whole premise of the event. Crush It!, by the star of the evening, Gary Vaynerchuk, is a book that motivates everyone to take advantage of what their skills instead of focusing on things that aren’t your forte.

RealPlayer SP was the premier sponsor for the evening. The event’s organizer, Kelly Olexa, was one of the panelists of Social Media Club Chicago in September, another event RPSP participated in. Kelly thought we’d be a good fit for the evening as our focus is on web video, and that is where Gary has found his massive success. We set up our little demo table in the back of the room and fielded questions all night long about RealPlayer SP, why mobile video is relevant, and general use cases for RPSP. Traffic to the booth was constant and we received the most positive reactions about RPSP that I’ve seen at any event. Dozens of people checked out the demos and many even put videos on their own phones right at our table.

One of our more enthusiastic event goers, Matt McHale had this to say about RPSP:

We agree, Matt. It is super easy.

Thanks to Kelly Olexa for putting on a really fantastic event. We connected with a lot of people and showed them how easy it is for them to get their favorite web videos, including Gary’s Winelibrary.com videos on their phones. We’ve got two more events coming up next week at Social Media Club Philadelphia on Wednesday and Social Media Club Bostonon Thursday. If you haven’t made it out to one of our events yet, we hope to see you soon!
